Lincolnwood School has been adopted by two nearby retirement homes. Each fall, representatives from the Presbyterian Home and Swedish Retirement Home meet with our staff to plan intergenerational activities. These businesses and our “adopted grandparents” support various PTA and school-sponsored activities throughout the year. Both retirement homes sponsor booths at our annual Fall Festival, as well as provide special funding of specific student activities.

We encourage you to support the holiday handicraft sale in early November at the Presbyterian Home and the Christmas Sale at the Swedish Home. Lincolnwood was also recently adopted by Coventry Eye Care Center. Coventry provides a reduced fee for exams and eyewear when recommended by the school. The school is also interested in expanding the Adopt-a-School program, and we encourage you and your business or civic group to explore creating a mutually beneficial relationship with Lincolnwood School.
