My name is Amy Jarjusey and I am the Local Childcare Coordinator (LCC) for Cultural Care Au Pair in Evanston. We have a fairly large and very diverse group of au pairs and families!
I have been with CCAP since March 2004. I am married and mother to three children ages 7 years and 4.5 years and 10 month old! I am a native of the Chicago area. During and after college I nannied full time in Glencoe, IL. I have a great deal of experience in the in-home childcare field, as well as traveling/living abroad. A year after college I was in The Gambia, West Africa as Health Education Extensionist with the U.S. Peace Corps for nearly three years. This was experience was life-changing, far beyond that of the three months I did as an exchange student in Stuttgart, Germany!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as an LCC in the North Shore area. I have covered various suburbs at one time or another, and have found this to be quite the rewarding position. It’s a blessing to work with all of the great families in the program, as well as the diverse population of au pairs that travel here to live with us for their time in the U.S.!
